This beautiful old barn is near the village of Wellington, in Prince Edward County, in Ontario. This painting is based on a pre-digital camera panoramic shot, where you took three shots and manually pasted them together. I got half-way through this painting before I fully realized the distortion inherent in this approach, and my verticals were all askew. The complicated grass and weeds in the lower left-hand corner were about to give me difficulty and I was tempted to scrap this effort. However, I belong to Wet Canvas!, a massive art website with thousands of member who stand ready to help. I called for help and it came quickly. I incorporated much of their advice and completed this in spite of my problems.
