Farley Hill Landscape

Another early landscape in the same Farley Hill Farm area. During the war supplies were desperately short, and we would paint on both sides of any precious paper we could get. Pencils were used right down to a stub, then inserted into a kind of metal tube to use them some more! About now I should regale you with tales of having to walk ten miles to class, uphill and barefoot - but to tell the truth it was the happiest time of my life.
