Daisy

"Daisy" is from a photograph I did not take, but she is a look-alike wire-fox terrier we had for over 14 years, and she was the last in a long line of this wonderful high-spirited breed we loved so much. This was done on 14" x 18" stretched canvas, using Liquitex Professional acrylic artist color, Heavy Body.

The Blacksmith

Full credit for the image on which this acrylic painting is based must go to Lisilk whose wonderful series called "Dave Blacksmithing" at the Biltmore Estate, N.C. was posted on the www.wetcanvas.com Reference Library of Images available for use by members.

Image size is 16" x 20", on stretched canvas, using Liquitex Heavy Body  acrylics.

The Winter Creek

This little winter creek idea has been hanging around in my ideas file for years, but I've always been reluctant to try this in watercolour because of all the tedious misket application it probably involved.  The image size is 14" x 18" on canvas board, using Liquitex professional heavy body acrylic paints. Anglican Church in Jackson's Point

This a new venture for me as I've only just begun experimenting with acrylics. From time to time I'll be posting my efforts. My first one is a painting of St. George's Anglican Church in Jackson's Point, Ontario. This lovely little church reminds me so much of the churches I used to paint years ago in England, and is the burial spot of Stephen Leacock, a great Canadian humourist, and Mazo de La Roche, a Canadian novelist. Image size is 14" X 18", using Liquitex Heavy Body acrylics, on stretched canvas.
